Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Georgian Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli held a meeting in Yerevan. They discussed deepening of bilateral relations, Khidasheli also briefed the head of state on the outcome of talks with Seyran Ohanyan.

In addition, the sides discussed issues of regional security. According to the Georgian Defense Minister, the country is ready to play an active role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

"Georgia's position is very simple, we want to ensure peace in the region. We are ready to cooperate in any format and in any direction, if it promotes regional peace," Georgia Online cited Khidasheli as saying.
