For the first time since the lifting of the ban on oil exports, the United States has supplied oil to Venezuela, which is an oil-producing country and OPEC member.

It is known that oil was received by the Venezuelan state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA). The volume of supply amounted to 548 thousand barrels of oil.

Venezuela purchases lighter sorts of oil to mix it with its heavy oil. Previously, PDVSA bought light oil from Russia, Nigeria and Angola.
