a. Armed hostilities erupted as a result of Azerbaijani military provocation along the entire length of the line of opposition between Karabakh and Azerbaijan armed forces. For the first time since 1994 ceasefire agreements Azerbaijan has used “GRAD” multiple rocket launchers, military helicopters and combat drones.
b. Aliev’s “Blitzkrieg strategy” though failed and The Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh managed to return to the initial positions it held before the provocation. In some directions the Defence Army even advanced deeper into the territories previously controlled by Azerbaijan. The adversary lost 2 military helicopters, up to 10 tanks, a “GRAD” rocket launcher and tens of soldiers.
c. Up to now Azerbaijan has insisted that Nagorno-Karabakh is its own territory and all the inhabitants are Azerbaijani nationals. Following this logic it turns out that Azerbaijan now is killing its own people.
Peaceful towns and villages are heavily shelled, a 12 years old boy was killed in the shelling by grenade-launchers. In the village of Talish the members of Azerbajani special forces executed elderly couple, Valery Khalapyan and his wife Razmella, and 92-years old Marusya Khalapyan. Their mutilated bodies were found after the village was liberated by Armenian troops. The dead bodies of the Armenian soldiers are also being mutilated and abused by the adversary.
In light of these atrocities committed against Armenian population and fallen soldiers it is ridiculous to talk about any kind of yielding to Azerbaijan.
Earlier today Azerbaijan used TOS (Heavy Flamethrower System), which is very sad outcome of the careless Russian arms trade policy. Given that Armenia is one of Russia’s most loyal strategic partners some Russian businessmen in power should think twice before selling offensive weapon systems to such countries as Azerbaijan.
Same is true for the President of Belarus, whose good nose for the international developments appears to be subdued by the smell of Azerbaijani oil.
