The Acting Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, Levon Mkrtchyan, on Friday was on hand at the Last Bell event at a school in capital city Yerevan.
In his congratulatory remarks, Mkrtchyan noted that today’s young graduates were entering a life at a phase that is decisive and which still has questions for the state.
“As the coming new generation, we pass on to you an independent state and liberated Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh]; a feeling of pride toward our national life,” added the acting minister. “Rest assured: This is your country, and be accountable for it.”
The Last Bell, which symbolizes the end of the school year, is a tradition coming from the ex-Soviet times. This day is celebrated in a variety of countries, and numerous respective events are organized.
